JO1 won the "Best New Asian Artist" award at the Asia's largest music award ceremony "2020 MAMA (Mnet ASIAN MUSIC AWARDS)" held on Sunday, December 6th.

MAMA is a 100% Korean entertainment channel “Mnet” and Japan’s first Korean entertainment video distribution service “Mnet Smart” CJ ENM Japan Inc.), the global music awards ceremony held by CJ ENMCJ ENM Co., Ltd., the Korean headquarters of CJ ENMCJ ENM, celebrated its 12th anniversary this year.

MAMA, which has presented innovative performances every year, was held in a non-face-to-face format this year, with performances by popular Japanese artists such as BTS, IZ*ONE, and TWICE.

Among the many artists, JO1 performed the title song "Shine A Light" and the debut song "MUGENDAI" from the 1st album "The STAR" just released on November 25th. won the prestigious award "Best New Asian Artist", which is given to new Asian artists who are expected to play an active role in the future.
