This global boy band was selected from 101 contestants by the viewers, the "national producers," on "PRODUCE 101 JAPAN," Japan's largest audition program, which became a social phenomenon in 2019.
The group name "JO1" (JO1) conveys the meaning that the trainees who pursued their dreams together on "PRODUCE 101 JAPAN" will come together as one and aim to reach the top of the world.
